If you’re in the market for low-cost signal processing cards, you now have new options from Cobalt Digital. The first is a 12G SDI single-channel frame synchronizer, the 9925-FSx. It starts with 1 path at a very affordable price, and you can upgrade via software license options to 2, 3, and 4 independent paths. There’s also an audio processing license option that gives you AES, MADI, and Dante embedding and de-embedding.
The second new card is a single-channel 3G-SDI 3D LUT color processing card, the 9981-LUTx, which offers you up to 4 channels and even 4K with software license options. There’s a long menu of options on this card. You can add a scaler, the BBC LUT, color, logo, audio options, and more.

During NAB 2026, Suzana Brady of Cobalt Digital talked with Matt Robbins from KitPlus about how Cobalt is known for very high-end, multifunctional openGear cards, and so they have surprised the market by introducing entry-level, low-cost openGear cards with the same reliability and 5-year warranty as all of Cobalt’s products. As your workflow grows, these cards can grow with you.
They also spoke about new ST 2110 inputs that have been added to the PACIFIC 9992-ENC encoder, as well as ST 2110 outputs that you’ll now find on the PACIFIC ULL-DEC-INDIGO decoder.
