Cobalt Digital +SCTE104 SCTE 104 Insertion Software Option

SCTE 104 provides a flexible and easily incorporated segment/interstitial insertion automation solution which can be propagated across the plant via baseband SDI (using the ANC space). Option +SCTE104 provides generation and insertion of SCTE 104 messages into baseband SDI. Message send can be triggered from automation GPI or other event action modes. The option can also execute card actions based on SCTE 104 messages received by the card, as well as send triggered SCTE 104 packets to other downstream systems.

  • SCTE104 integrates and leverages other card options (such as +LOGO) for easily incorporated, single-card automation solutions
  • SCTE 104 insertion available using ancillary data, GPI, SNMP, or JSON via HTTP POST / WebSocket
  • Full control of splice start, end, and cancel as well as pre-roll and break duration offsets
  • Easy to use interface based on common SCTE 104 operations: Splice Start Normal, Splice Start Intermediate, Splice End Normal, Splice End Intermediate, and Splice Cancel (splice_request_data variants)
  • Easy to setup GPO based on SCTE splice start and end
  • Event trigger sources selectable from source material, automation system, live trigger, or local content trigger events
  • SCTE 104 message triggered actions include ANC insertion, GPO, and card event actions that can be triggered by SCTE 104 messages
  • Added option +SCTE104-FAST provides Frame Accurate SCTE Trigger, allowing SCTE actions such as insertions on the exact specified video frame
