Designed for REMI production, cloud integration, contribution feeds, return feeds, and facility interconnect applications, the OSG-8971 allows SDI signals to be securely transported across public or private IP networks using the SRT protocol. Its flexible architecture allows each channel to operate independently as either an encoder or decoder, enabling mixed contribution and return workflows within a single card.
The compact openGear form factor delivers high channel density while simplifying deployment, monitoring, and management through DashBoard control and monitoring software. Broad codec support, flexible audio handling, and support for both HD and optional UHD workflows allow the OSG-8971 to integrate into a wide range of modern production infrastructures.
Whether supporting centralized production, remote commentary, cloud-based graphics insertion, or distributed live production environments, the OSG-8971 helps bridge traditional SDI systems with scalable IP-based workflows while maintaining the reliability and operational familiarity expected in professional broadcast environments.
